Once upon a time, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman and Owen Wilson went on an adventure in India just for fun. Adrien wore tinted glasses almost the entire time, Jason had a mustache and Owen broke his face.
So maybe it was for a movie, but an adventure none-the-less. Distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures, Wes Andersons The Darjeeling Limited details the journey of three brothers traveling around India after not speaking since their fathers funeral a year ago. Based on a short film called Hotel Chevalier starring Jason and Natalie Portman, fans of Wes work recognize many key players in his film family including Bill Murray and Anjelica Huston. Filmed on location in an actual train, The Darjeeling Limited is also available in Hindi and Sanskrit as a tribute to the land that made it possible.
Though they are not currently working together, Adrien, Jason and Owen are all working (which is always good news for an actor). According to imdb, Adriens next major film Waco (about the 1993 Waco controversy) in which he will play Steve Schneider is in production. Jason, meanwhile, is filming a new Wes Anderson film called Moonrise Kingdom, which according to Boston.com is set to release in 2012 and is about two young lovers who decide to run away. Last but not least, Owen is lending his voice to an animated film directed by Ash Brannon called Turkeys. According to imdb, the film (which will be geared toward younger audiences) follows a couple of turkeys [who] travel back in time to the first Thanksgiving dinner to save future generations of their feathered friends from getting gobbled up at holiday meals.
