I'm sensitive to blue light and until I found out about its effects on the brain and how it causes insomnia, I had a heck of a time getting enough sleep. The typical 'computer glasses' with the pale yellowish lenses relax the eyes but they don't block much blue light. I hunted for orange/amber glasses and tried several but I also need glasses to read and wearing blue blockers OVER my prescription glasses didn't work well. I was delighted to find these readers.

For those who say these lenses are too dark...well, yeh, everything looks orange when the glasses are first put on. However, after a bit, the brain adjusts and things look "normal" with the glasses on, then when they are removed everything looks pale and washed out. I always find it amazing how my brain gets used to the orange tint so easily and how shocking it is when I take the glasses off. THAT's when I have a hard time adjusting.

If you watch TV or use your computer at night and then can't sleep, give these guys a try. The price is well worth the gamble that you might sleep better.

My only complaint is that Read.com offers only this one style with these intense orange/amber lenses. I'm communicated with their R&D department and hope they expand the styles available.

Good for the price. Good quality. Tint is great for computer long term computer use. Easy purchase through Google. Exceptional shipping timeframe. Will purchase again. Slight scratch in one lens in the vision area during to shipping. Consider protecting slightly better, i.e. wrap in cloth.

I was skeptical about the whole tinted glasses thing for Computer Vision Syndrome and didn't want to spend too much to find out. But these turned out to be very good. They're lightweight, with very clear lenses. Tint does seem to help compred to my other non-tinted weak readers for CVS. Good deal and much better quality than I expected.

I really looked forward to these as I spend all day in front of a computer screen.. but they were just too dark to work with. I don't use them at all.
