I only have two eyes, but I'll buy another pair.. ;)
Readers.com needs to get better hinges for the glasses. This is a problem with low-cost sun glasses as well, but, while I like these glasses, they break too easily.
PROS: Clairity, optics, weight, size/fit (big pumpkin head) and price when on sale are great.rnCONS: Can not stand up to real world usage. 3 pairs broke at hinge, 2 beyond repair. rnRESULTS: I will finally breakdown and buy a pair of "real glasses". All these glasses are just fine IF you use them with lots of care. They just don't last long with daily use.
I don't use the primary lens magnification for reading, +2.5 is my distance correction. I have two variations of Hydrotac stick-on lenses in two locations... one for close work and in hand reading, and the other for computer use. I have purchased something like twenty pair of glasses since my eyes started rejecting contact lenses, and these have been the best so far, including a pair of prescription glasses that fit well at first and then started sliding all over my face when I became sweaty. I can honestly say, the Colby pair I have do the best in all ways, and I never thought they would work, when I first bought them... just thought I'd have them for backup, and sleeping... yes, I do sleep in my glasses, otherwise I can tell what time it is when I wake in the middle of the night. Because of a number of surgeries, I can't sleep anywhere but in a chair, so I never roll over and dislodge my glasses. I don't use these glasses for that duty, only for seeing everything all day long.
I have a large head (size 7 3/4 hat), and needed large frames. These meet my needs and are well balanced and most importantly look good. I have 2 black and one tortoise shell pair.
Sadly I was not more careful about the sizing and regrettably had to return them.Totallty My fault. But needless to say I was impressed with the product.
If the hinge attachments were made of metal these would be ideal. I love the basic shape and larger size of the lenses. People complement the appearance of these glasses regularly. I buy three pairs at a time to compensate for the relatively large rate of breakage.
