I have a large head (size 7 3/4 hat), and needed large frames. These meet my needs and are well balanced and most importantly look good. I have 2 black and one tortoise shell pair.
Sadly I was not more careful about the sizing and regrettably had to return them.Totallty My fault. But needless to say I was impressed with the product.
If the hinge attachments were made of metal these would be ideal. I love the basic shape and larger size of the lenses. People complement the appearance of these glasses regularly. I buy three pairs at a time to compensate for the relatively large rate of breakage.
Pumpkin sized melon requires larger frame glasses both in width and temple length. rnHad been buying “wide frame†cheapies which were comfortable but temples would break off (not spring hinged). This model is the cheaper of the two I purchased, and while the other is “stylish†these will be my go to / everyday glasses. I recommend you buy two pair of these. rn
Readers.com needs to get better hinges for the glasses. This is a problem with low-cost sun glasses as well, but, while I like these glasses, they break too easily.
PROS: Clairity, optics, weight, size/fit (big pumpkin head) and price when on sale are great.rnCONS: Can not stand up to real world usage. 3 pairs broke at hinge, 2 beyond repair. rnRESULTS: I will finally breakdown and buy a pair of "real glasses". All these glasses are just fine IF you use them with lots of care. They just don't last long with daily use.
