    Worried about macular degeneration12/29/2016
    Comments

I have been seeing articles about too much blue light (we need some) and decided these may help cut down the exposure. I have read a couple of articles so far that seem to indicate led and other blue light exposure may be putting us at risk of macular degeneration. I am not going overboard yet but it worries me that we are being told led is the way to go...at what price?

I love these lil glasses. I have excellent vision but needed a way to prevent eye fatigue, I am on the computer for 8 hours straight every day. These glasses are perfect for me! I forget that I am even wearing them most of the time. Not sure how long they will last but seem to be working great for now!

Reduces glare, improves contrast, good quality, stylish, a bit s8/23/2016

I've been wearing these glasses at work for a few weeks and I'm quite pleased overall.rnrnVision ImprovementrnI work in a dim setting — which I prefer — but a few months ago my employer insisted on putting overhead fluorescent lights just in front of my desk and that has been causing greater eye problems, including strain and blurry vision. These glasses cut down significantly on the glare and my eyes don't feel as fatigued at the end of the day. My eyes have adjusted a bit since wearing these glasses and I don't have as much difficulty focusing, and the amber-tinted (blue-blocking) lenses help improve contrast noticeably (though don't expect miracles).rnrnConstruction / QualityrnThese glasses are extremely lightweight, so much so that they felt fragile at first, but I haven't been especially careful and they're holding up well. I was concerned that the lenses might scratch easily, but I've cleaned them with all sorts of cloths and paper towels (including the industrial ones my employer provides, which I'm pretty sure can double as fine-grit sandpaper) and there are no scratches. I do tend to smudge the lenses pretty easily, but that may have more to do with my inability to keep my hands from fidgeting around my face when I'm deep in thought.rnrnDesign / AppearancernI like the design a lot, and I've received several compliments from coworkers about these glasses. Because the entire building uses fluorescent lighting, rather than remove them when I'm away from my computer I just wear them around the office all day. One coworker was surprised by the low price; he said they looked to him like really expensive glasses. My supervisor told me I look even more studious with these glasses, which I think means she just called me a nerd. The lens tint is subtle enough that these glasses don't look out of place in an office setting.rnrnSize / FitrnThe only complaint I have is that these glasses are rather snug and grip the sides of my head just behind the temples. Because they're so lightweight that doesn't usually present a problem, and it does keep them in place well, but sometimes after a few hours of wearing them I start to develop a mild headache from the pressure. The sizing isn't necessarily the fault of the glasses, as I might just have a fat head (to match my swollen ego), but I tend to think these glasses do indeed run a tad on the small side.

These have single-handedly changed my everyday life. I leave work after staring at a screen for 8 hours and am no longer fatigued, my eyes are no longer tired or blurred, these things are 100% worth it. HIGHLY recommend.
