I really love these glasses but after a few weeks, they broke at the temple at the red rubber part..I had to glue is together. Then later it broke on the other side at the metal part that bends. When you get these, they make a creaking noise when you open and close them so their kind of stiff.rnI'll probably buy another pair.

    Lightweight, Comfortable, and Stylish!6/2/2017
    Comments

I love The Beasley Reader! They are lightweight and stylish. They seem durable enough for my everyday use at work and at home. A few years ago, I had a pair of sunglasses made of the same lightweight, sort of rubbery, plastic. I loved them because they were so comfortable. I love that these feel like those old favorites. rnrnI ordered this pair to use as computer readers, so I ordered it in a magnification that is slightly more than half of my regular prescription. My normal reading prescription is 1.75, so I calculated (1.75/2) = 0.875, which would have indicated ordering a set at 1.00, but I had a pair of 1.00 glasses on hand, and I didn't think they had enough magnification for computer and laptop use, so I ordered The Beasley in 1.25 magnification. With the 1.25s, I can read my laptop screen, cellphone screen, and most printed text like business letters and a travel guide book (which has fairly small and compact print). rnrnI don't like using bifocal computer readers because I end up getting "lazy" and tilting my head up to use the 1.75 bifocal portion at the bottom of the lens. This makes me look like an idiot and hurts my neck; however, using 1.75 for ALL reading was making my eyes lazy (relaxing too much). Now I only use the 1.75 part of my bifocal readers when reading in bed, where the page contrast is lower and lighting is less bright (table lamps). rnrnGreat glasses! I like them so much that I've hardly even tried the other two pairs that I ordered the same day.

So these literally broke within a week of using them. They broke right at the hinge. This really sucks because these were super comfortable and looked really great. The hinge is however junk. I should have paid attention to the other reviews. Readers should take these off of their website. Don't buy these purchase something different from Readers. They have plenty of other quality glasses on their site.
