Exactly what I had hoped for3/12/2017

they are comfortable and exactly as promised. they protect my eyes as I had hoped, as I work on computers about 10 hours a day! I will be carrying these around with me always. The only thing is that instead of a cloth pouch, which won't do much to protect them when I have them in my purse - would be nice to have a hard case available.

Pros
Accurate Magnification, Lightweight, Sturdy, Comfortable, High Quality, Stylish, True To Size
Cons
Priced Too High

Just what your Eyes Need...6/27/2017

As a Currency and Index Trader I spend a Great deal of time per day viewing computer screens. Always heard that Blocking the "Blue light" would make it easier on the Eyes.... DAMN... after one day of use.. Noticed a BIG difference in how my eyes felt... My order was for the +1.50.rnrnThe Lens is Yellow and it does a great job blocking the "Blue". If you need some relief from eye strain.... don't hesitate... just order them you will not be disappointed...rnrnFYI I also ordered the "The DASH Computer Reader" +1.50.... $17.95rnThe lenses on this pair have a much "lighter colored Yellow lens" they do block a good deal of the blue, but the Gunnar glasses have a "deeper colored lens" and provide better comfort over hours of use.... I'm keeping the DASH pair as a backup.... but the Gunnar will be used day and night!rnrnGreat Service.... product came on schedule and well packed.... a small box with the glasses wrapped in bubble wrap.

Updated Review - Incredible Service 12/13/2017
Comments

I recently posted a 1 star review because these glasses scratched, in my opinion, far too easily. The glasses were great when first received and worked perfectly for what I needed them for which is large format screen viewing. rnrnUPDATE: Nearly instantly upon posting that review, Readers.com customer service reached out to me and indicated they would attempt to resolve this matter. Within 24 hours they informed me the manufacturer agreed to priority mail a replacement pair to me. They arrived 2 days later. rnrnI want to commend both Readers.com and GUNNAR for outstanding customer service. I am wearing the replacements as I write this updated review (they feel and work great by the way) and I felt it important that others who are considering these glasses, or any glasses from Readers.com and/or GUNNAR to know that both organizations stand behind their product, which in my original opinion were amazing glasses. rnrnFar too often people don't go out of their way to share positive stories. Hayley from Readers.com customer service stayed on top of it the entire time. With this one move, I can tell you I will be ordering many more glasses only from Readers.com in the future and I am happy to share this story with anyone who might benefit from it. rnrnThank you Hayley and GUNNAR. Well Done!! rnrn

I enjoyed these glasses for a few days then I realized that you can not allow them to get close to anything such as your mouse or anything on your desk as they scratch so incredibly easy. In less than 3 weeks, they are now worthless. Do not recommend.

Pros
Accurate Magnification
Cons
Scratch Easily

I want to love these glasses, but just cant2/23/2018

I bought three different styles of computer readers because I can spend 10 hours at my home office in front of multiple screens on my desk. I had tried some less expensive Foster Grant computer readers with progressive clear lenses and had some success. I like having progressive lenses to the point that I may wear them even when not reading or in front of the computer. But they were ineffective at blocking blue light and I experienced a lot of eye fatigue. I purchased 3 sets of computer readers from Readers.com for a side-by-side trial. The Gunnars were very expensive, so I expected a lot. And they delivered a very nice frame, well fitting glasses that are very comfortable. But really guys, a hard case should come with $100+ glasses! I tried them on and read the information that came in the box. The magnification was very clear and sharp. I was excited about trying them at my home office desk. I could not read my monitors at all-what is going on! The field of vision is very narrow, so I had to move my monitors on my desk a foot closer to see them clearly. Also, I cant get up from the desk with them on, as I cant see a thing far away. I thought a month would be enough time to get used to them, but I still have trouble. The magnification is very good at arm's length. But they just aren't as versatile as I was hoping. When you are "in the zone" they are awesome, but the zone is very limited. I also tried the Hayden Tinted Computer Reader which are ok and easier to use, but the lenses are not nearly as sharp and they look a bit "goofy" (my college student daughter's description) and they are far less comfortable. It feels like I am looking through an old film negative. But I noticed they were effective for reducing eye strain especially at night. The third set is the Heritage Dual Power Computer Reader with clear lenses and a bit of anti-glare coating that is effective. They are the most versatile of the three glasses. The dual power makes it easy to read print as well as computer, but I notice I still have some eye fatigue after a while. The second magnification is like lined bifocals, so they are present in your field of vision when looking straight ahead. So I didn't get a clear winner from any of these three. I wish the Gunnars had more versatility and a tougher case. I'll keep looking for something better.
