With moderately severe macular degeneration it is difficult for me to find glasses that allow me to perform basic in home tasks that are not ridiculously expensive. Readers.com has come to the rescue with a functional, affordable solution and a product line that should enable anyone to find what they need to excercise their independence.

It's great to have these for when I'm drawing and have to see very fine details. I like the frame a lot...wish it were also available in "regular" reading strengths. The red speckled frame is cute and I love and need the high bridge for all my reading glasses.

Pros
Accurate Magnification, Lightweight, Sturdy, Comfortable, Stylish

Great glasses!10/25/2017

I bought these for my dad who is losing his sight in one eye. This was the first time I was able to get magnification above the +3.00 & +4.00 usually sold. I got these for him in a +6.00 and he's very happy with them. He says they're comfortable and lightweight. (I also bought him another pair in +7.00 and he loves those too. He can actually see!) The fact that Readers.com offers great discounts doesn't hurt either. Their shipping is quick also. He received both orders within a couple of days. I will continue to buy from here as long as they carry the higher strengths.

Pros
Accurate Magnification, Lightweight, Sturdy, Comfortable, High Quality, Scratch Resistant, Stylish, True To Size

Excelent for reading books or newsparers, etc.8/12/2015

Not good for reading a computer screen or anything more than about a foot away, in which case I have to switch to other glasses with less magnification . I understand that is what it is. What I need is better resolution in reading a book or a news paper and these glasses are great for that purpose.

More high powered selection.

Did this product arrive as described? If not, in what ways can we improve?
Love the glasses! I need a better selection of half-frames in the 5.0 to 6.0 range. Please write when you have a new selection. Thanks

Glasses look great on him! He's legally blind and they have helped him read things he hasn't been able to in a long time. Plus, the frames are sturdy and withstand the unintentional abuse they get.
