They are a nice looking pair of sunglasses until the fall apart. Used them about five times and the bow broke right off. Readers.com told me they would replace them with another pair but they were out of stock for the Pismo Beach style readers.

I reordered 2 more pair after having ordered several years ago, unfortunately they discontinued my favorite type, so had to switch to Pismo Beach. One pair of glasses was loose upon receipt, and after just several weeks, fell from my face, the hinge screw fell out and is gone. So down to one pair, fits great, but still, poor quality and reliability overall.

The lenses are graduated, lighter at the bottom (I wasn't aware of that.) They are quite dark at the top. I would prefer the lenses to be oe solid color such as Amber, or other colors that are UVA + UVB. Also it would be convenient if the lenses could be made to the exact prescription provided by my optometrist.

I have the San Antonio Sun Readers and love them in 1.00 power. They are VERY clear and I can see perfectly. But the lenses are a bit small for my tastes, so I ordered these Pismo Beach sun readers. Sorry to say that I'm really disappointed. I simply cannot see distances with them as they are not clear at all, at least to my eyes. The lenses are graduated gray, lighter at the bottom (I wasn't aware of that.) They are quite dark at the top and I think that's my problem - they don't let enough light in. I can see much better when I raise them up and look thru the lower (lighter) part of the lens. But I can't wear them that way, of course, and it defeats the purpose of sun glasses. Looks like I'll have to stick with the smaller San Antonio style.

The glasses work well for the intended purpose of using them on the range when firing at targets using scopes. However, I did not see anywhere that indicated they were glass and a lot heavier than most plastice reading glasses.

I have wanted some sunglasses I can read with forever and now that I have some I love them! It’s wonderful to be able to be outside and read and still protect your eyes.

I have several pair of this model. Some are great, some have issues in manufacturing quality. Specifically on one pair, one of the temple covers had a 'catch' in it when folding them up. After a couple times, the temple cover came loose. I'm trying some super glue to try and save them from the trash can.
