I recently had cataract surgery. Love that I now have 20/20 distance vision, but hate the constant glasses on/glasses off issue with regular readers. I definitely wouldn't be able to drive with these, but they really did solve a lot of problems. Great for computer work. I can see the screen and papers on my desk with equality clarity. I can see someone across the room. I can look across the table at someone, read a menu and see my food without removing glasses. I can watch TV with a small loss of sharpness, but look down to see my phone. I can leave these on if I get up and walk to another room. While shopping I can read labels on shelves and packages and still walk around the store. I couldn't do any of this with regular readers or other progressive readers that I tried. All for $20 a pair. Definitely worth it. I'll be ordering more pairs.
These mostly solved my problem of needing a little magnification when looking at my computer screen and a lot more mag when I look down at papers on my desk. Because the nose bridge is solid and fixed, I have to wear them at top of my nose and adjust reading angle by craning my head down. If bridge had adjustable pads, I could locate glasses half way down my nose which would align them with both my computer screen and papers on my desk. I like them but will keep looking for a pair w/adjustable nose pads on bridge.
I would recommend the Quartz Multi-Focal Computer Reader to eveyone.
I can use these glasses while working on the computer and if I need to get up an go outside or drive to the store, not to worry! These work for this also. The complete package for my use!
I have gotten many compliments on the appearance of these glasses, which I wear over contact lenses that correct my astigmatism for reading books, music, and my computer screen. The two powers make them useful for both close and mid-range objects. It's the first time I've found a single pair of glasses that meet all of my needs (except in bright sun, for which I purchased progressive sunglasses from your store).
Was having difficulty adjusting to readers following cataract surgery until I found these.
I use these readers to use my computer, to do my crafts and to read. I have never had a pair of readers that worked so well. I would definitely recommend them to friends.
These are not the most high quality frames of all the readers I've bought from this site. They're sturdy enough, but not as sleek as some of the others. HOWEVER, the lenses are absolutely the best. I've switched from a far more expensive pair of computer glasses I bought years ago to these. The multifocal lenses really do make a difference. Add to that the glare protection and these are irreplaceable. You won't find a better deal or more functional pair anywhere else.
I was suffering from eye strain at the computer, so I thought I'd try Readers.com computer glasses. I LOVE them. I am really surprised how much more comfortable my eyes are now. I also appreciate how sturdy they are, not at all flimsy, yet they are very comfortable. I have several styles now, for different purposes - from high-powered to get slivers out of fingers, to bifocals to use when I'm cooking. Love them all!
