Rare but just what I wanted12/6/2015

True half glasses like these are rare. They are easy to look over the top for distance. Why are they true half glasses? Because the nose arch rises ABOVE the top of the lens, allowing the lenses to drop to the lower part of the visual range.

As I tend to wear readers all day, every day (except when driving or watching movies), it's important to have the high bridge "The Carbon" features. This way, the lenses don't obstruct my general view of the world. But when reading, they're right there, doing their job. These are comfortable, sturdy, and light weight.

    Accurate Magnification, Lightweight, Sturdy, Comfortable

    Good for a back-up pair5/4/2017
    Comments

I purchased a pair of these when Readers.com was running a special, so I got a great deal on these. Overall, I've been pleased with these glasses. They are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. There are two reasons, however, as to why I rated these four out of five stars. First, it didn't take very long for the lens to get scratched (within a couple of weeks). Second, the frames are a little flimsy. And as another reviewer pointed out, it's impossible to tighten the screws on the arms. Given that these are less than $20, they're a heck of a bargain for a back-up pair.

I use them for outdoor work, entering info into a data logger- and need unhindered normal eyesight for the rest of the job. These do the trick.

A little bit tight on the sides of my head, and sits a bit further down my nose than i would ideally like.
