LOVE my multi-focals7/8/2017
Comments

Personal Pros:rnNow I can work at the computer easily. For reference, I sit 30" from my monitor. No more readers pinching the tip of my nose and no more squinting at the screen.rnrnCons:rnThese are very large. I am an average-sized woman and they are quite big on my face. That being said, they frames are not so big that they slide down my face. It is only the lenses that are large. But for the utility and comfort these glasses afford, I am willing to look a little geeky when I work at the computer.rnrnCautions: rnI nearly ordered the wrong magnification. When you order, be sure you select your normal book-reading magnification.rnrnOverall:rnLOVE my Wilcox Multi-focal Computer Readers. They are comfortable on my face, and I no longer have to squint at the computer screen when I am typing. I ordered two pair of these, and would definitely order them again. rn

Very disappointed6/18/2017

These computer glasses did not help my vision with the computer at all. I adjusted the distances by moving my monitor forwards and back and raised and lower it as well. Could not get any vision help from these glasses. I already use readers for the keyboard and reading, which these glasses did fine, but not for that middle distance. I will keep searching to find a pair to work at the distance I need them to. It's hard to keep trying when you have to pay for shipping both ways, I feel like I am wasting money each time.

Very pleased with these readers. The multiple magnification is perfect for my all day computer activity.rnOnly issue is the "nose props" could be rubber coated to reduce slipping.

Excellent lenses for computer work, but these metal frames are f6/1/2017
Comments

Neither regular readers nor even expensive progressives helped me to clearly see computer screens and other middle-distance objects (1 to 4 feet away) as well as these "computer lenses" do. Buy a spare pair, however, because the frames bend out of shape easily and do not look like they will last.

Pros
Accurate Magnification
Cons
Flimsy

Much better than my prescription glasses.11/19/2016

Very easy to read both the computer screen and printed material with small print. The lenses are very clear with just a bit of a tint. I much prefer readers to my prescription lens. Could not be happier. Will likely get another pair for travel.

Close, but no cigar...5/28/2017

I've been looking for driving glasses with at least 2 focal areas. These are about the closest I've come to achieving my needs. These glasses are good, but not great. Unfortunately, the focal areas don't run from the absolute left side of the lens to the absolute right side. Instead, the focal areas more centralized. In other words, if you're looking straight onto a subject, the subject will be in focus, but if you move your eyes a bit towards the left or right, objects become out of focus. If your familiar with "Tilt–shift photography', this is small degree of what it's like looking through these glasses. Unfortunately, only the center of your field of view is in focus. See attached pic which demonstrates how I would prefer the focal areas to be located on the lens. I didn't add any "cons" because, the choice I would have chosen, "Poor functional design" was not given.

Pros
Lightweight, Sturdy

Mis-leading information, could not use and had to return2/22/2018
Comments

Around the beginning of the year I purchased a pair of these (Wilcox) and when I received them, could not figure out why I could hardly see out of them. I then looked at the tag that was attached by the manufacturer: The bottom portion in the strength you chose for reading, the middle portion is just a bit less for 'computer' use, and the top portion is about 1/2 of the bottom strength. The description for these glasses on the website reads: "The bottom portion of the lens is the reading power of your choosing, the middle portion of the lens is about half the magnification for computer use, and the top portion is the weakest power allowing you to view across your desk." I got in touch with a rep from Readers and they apologized for the wrong information and offered a refund, which I took as they didn't have any other options. I now see a pair called Miller with an almost identical description and noticed that the Wilcox still hasn't had the description updated to read accurately. I am beginning to wonder how reliable Readers.com is since they won't fix known errors? I also wonder if the Miller is going to have the same issue? If teh Wilcox had been exactly as described, I would have loved them, but unfortunately...

I just received these glasses today and the wow factor went off the charts. I'd lost my prescription glasses & have been using dollar store readers. I saw an add on tv for these, thought I'd give 'em a try. Boy, was I suprised, they work great! Better tan my prescriptions, at a fraction of the cost. Thanks!!
