A popular look in the '50s and '60s, browline glasses are making a comeback this year, and there's no better choice than the Sebastian. These metal and plastic readers have a squared shape. The lenses are aspheric with the bifocal reading power at the bottom. The rest of the lens is unmagnified.

These are nice bifocal readers.the styling is very retro. The magnification is accurate. The only thing you must watch out for is loose screws. I had my pair less than a month. I went to open them and the left side fell off in my hands. I scrambled to find my eye glass repair kit to put in a new screw.

Nice glasses but choose something else for computer work!1/29/2017
    Comments

Got these because I wanted something a little different. They are great for reading anything except a computer screen. Because the lenses are larger than what I'm used to, the bifocal lens is situated lower in the frame. I have to crane my neck backward to see the screen and that's uncomfortable, and just not cool. So, I'll stick to my Vancouver bifocal readers for computer work, and wear the Sebastian bifocal at other times.

Great style & good quality, small magnified area.7/25/2016
    Comments

These glasses have great style and good quality. This is my first pair of true bifocals and I like having the clear view in the upper portion but I find that the magnified area in the lower portion of the lens is a somewhat small area and I have to hold my head at just the right angle to read clearly and the magnified zone is limiting, for me. This is compared to a pair of progressive computer multi-focals where I can really look around the page while reading. But still good glasses that I will use and get used to.

Nice looking glasses with good fit. The transition from the magnifying lens to the clear is sharper than on other bifocals I have bought here and elsewhere. Hard to get used to.
