The Birch is a progressive style reader that has 3 distinct magnifications in each lens to allow you to keep your readers on all day. The bottom portion of the lens is the power of your choosing while the middle portion of the lens is slightly less magnified for computer use and the top portion is adjusted to view across your desk and beyond. Anti-reflective coating helps to reduce your eye strain.

I would definitely buy again11/3/2016

I love these glasses. I don't have to keep taking them off and putting them back on again when I go from reading a book to looking at my computer screen or the television. The multi focal lenses are very clear. I wish I had seen these before I just spent over $100 on prescription glasses. I hope to see more styles.

Accurate Magnification, Lightweight, Sturdy, Comfortable

A good "progressive" reader12/3/2016
Comments

This is my first experience with “readers” following my cataract surgery on both eyes. Previously as a nearsighted person I wore/used progressive Rx glasses. To accommodate the surgeries, readers were obtained to provide reading and intermediate vision. Various readers were ordered and this was one.rnThe progressive lenses were adequate to meet the immediate needs for reading and computer use. The graduation in degree of magnification was good to meet the first two elements and livable for the top view (distance) even though still a degree of magnification. For example the reading segment was 2.5 and reduced going upward. The mid-range was in the ball park of 1.5-1.25 and met my needs but the top still yielded a reduced magnification. A clear segment at the top would have been perfect. rnThe plastic frame was well made and fit my face in an acceptable manner, average size. Nose bridge was little too wide and glasses had to be played with depending on use.rnSite was very good in providing complete details and shipping was timely.rn

Really stylish!7/7/2017

These are really nice readers. I spend a lot of time on the computer, and these glasses help to cut down the glare. I've never worn prescription, or multi-focal, so these are kind of a trial test before I get the real thing. If they work out, I may not have to get prescription! Very quick on the delivery also!

Just bought my third pair!6/9/2017
Comments

First I bought the matte tortoise frames, which are my favorite. They were sold out when I decided I needed a pair at home, so I bought the shiny black. Not as chic, but still ok.rnrnI use a computer all day, and these make it easy to transition my eyes from reading material, to computer, to looking out the window. And the PRICE is unbeatable! Keep up the good work, Readers.com! These glasses are perfect!

Work as well as my prescription progressives5/12/2017
Comments

My prescription progressives needed to be replaced and I found these while searching for a less costly alternative. These work great! I work on the computer all day and I'm not constantly taking them on and off or having to look over them. The magnification in the top part of the lens is small enough that I can walk around comfortably with them on. I highly recommend!

Disappointed with this reader9/2/2017
Comments

I use the glasses for reading and computer use, the magnification is great. However I received them about 3-4 weeks ago and the screw fell out a week ago so it lost a handle. And the bridge is a bit too close.

Pros
Accurate Magnification, Lightweight
Cons
Break Easily

Saved my eyes. Plan to buy another pair.8/24/2017
Comments

I spend a lot of time working on a computer and other electronic devices. I used to have readers for the computer, readers for reading and another pair for general desk work. At any given moment, the ones I needed always seemed to be just out of reach. These readers have replaced them all and my eyes feel far less tired at end of day. I also bought the Rowling at the same time but found these to have far less distortion and much better styling. For the money, these are definitely a better choice.
