So, I purchased a pair of these and in short order, one of the side pieces broke off. I was so upset because I love these glasses. After my review, Readers. com stepped up to the plate, and replaced the glasses for me. needless to say, I appreciated the gesture and, I was happy to have my glasses again. Last week, the replacement pair broke. Same situation. And now, I'm not sure what to do. I love this style but after looking through ALL of the glasses in this category, the only others that seem to match up in size, etc. would all be sunglasses readers or, bi-focals ~ neither of which I need. I was hoping to find something very close in style but, with sturdier sides that won't break off so easily. I'm now considering a wire rim style. Not what I really want but, reasoning that i might have to put aside style for substance. Just wish I didn't have to do this. Right now, I am wearing the MINT glasses with one side piece off, balancing them on my nose. This is ridiculous but, I don't want to use any of the other options that I have here. I'm questioning my own sanity as I consider buying yet another pair of these. If Readers.com can lead me to another pair of frames that are the same size as these, in tortoise but, not as flimsy, I would be eternally grateful. I really don't want to waste money on the wire rims, since I really don't like them. Sorry for rambling but, I work online much of the day. Having glasses that work for me is so important.rn
I love the look of these readers and get compliments on them all the time. Not very happy about the fact that I have already had to tighten up the screw on the right side of the glasses. Not sure how well these are going to hold up to normal wear.
Should not be sold by your company. They are the quality of dollar store glasses! Cheap, cheap, cheap. I will never wear them! I ordered two other pairs of glasses that I am totally pleased with. Take these off your web page! Do not buy them!
This is third or fourth try and the pair that I bought to replace the previous pair broke again!!! Please advise.
Love wearing bright colors on my face with my grey hair. Perfect shape and color. Hope you will carry these in more colors
I fell in love with these glasses. I read the reviews and a couple referred to how flimsy they were but, did I pay any attention? Of course not. And so, when these fell apart (I took the very best care of them -- only wearing them by the computer) I realized I was at fault for buying them. In all truth, the manufacturer did us all a dis service by not making these stronger. I'm angry with myself for this but I will not take full blame. To anyone considering purchasing these, think again. I seriously loved them and was heartbroken to not be able to use them any longer. But, they were a total waste of money. I've had far better glasses from the dollar store. Be forewarned.rn
I was very hesitant about buying Readers online.rnNo matter how good the description & photos may be - it's very tough to figure out what pair you'll look best in & be comfortable in. One thing I instantly loved about this website was that you include details on the size/width of the frame. Most readers available in retail stores are too big/wide for my narrow/small face. Next - these glasses are so much lighter than other readers I currently have. They are also more stylish, attractive, and comfortable. No more pressure on my nose. I cannot imagine shopping elsewhere now that I've found my perfect source!
One lense does not appear to have been attached. Doesn't pop out, but I must push it further into frame often. Hinges are so tight that the glasses do not fold flat, so fitting in a hard case is a problem. I am also afraid I will break off the earpieces when I unfold them
